3 Shades of Leopard Print

Good Afternoon Fabulous Ladies...

Finally, its Friday!!! Cant believe the day is already gone this quick. Was very unhappy this morning to wake up and go to work after being on holiday yesterday and the fact that other people were sleeping because their employers were kind enough to give them a day off today. Anyway, it does not matter now because the day has already passed. I hope you had a fab Human Rights day yesterday. I spent my Hman Rights day in a funeral to support a dear friend and everything went well.

Today's post is about my outfit for today that is inspired by Animal Print Earings. Because it is warm I thought wearing my animal print sandals would add flavour to my ensemble moreover, having my animal print bangles would compliment the outfit. I am happy when I look at these pictures because I never really wore this outfit together before. It is a great achievement because I do not look like I am trying so hard instead I look effortless.

I wore a long black tshirt dress with a yellow pullover and a brass necklace with a heart pendant. According to me, this out fit is HOT and SMASHING... Everything compliments each other perfectly even though there's 3 shades of leopard print and mostly it and sits very well on my curves.

Do you think my wearing of different shades of Leopard Print is a YAY or a NAY and why do you think so?

H by Hudson Grafton Boots and Gonkolo HairStyle

Hey Fabulous Ladies!!!
Hope you had a fab week so far and are ready to celebrate the Human Rights Day tomorrow. Now that, is a break I have been waiting for cause I'm tired and definately looking forward enjoying having my "ME.ME.ME.ME.Time" Whats upseting though is that I, actually WE as Department of Health employees are working on Friday and are not having a long weekend like other employees from the Department of Education and Municipal employees. Why are we so unlucky :( I could do alot from tomorrow until Sunday, really of coz if I was given the long weekend!!!Really, who decides about these things??
Ok, enough about my moaning!!! Last Sunday after coming from my church meeting, I decided to go to the salon to get my mohawk braided. I have been looking forward getting my fringed braids :) It was really overdue.
Unfortunately, my hairstylist was out of reach because I spent my weekeend in Matatiele and was going back to Fletchie on monday morning. It was a must for me to get my hair done on Sunday because when the week starts it is hard to squeeze in salon appointments as we are super busy at work lately.
Thank God, my friend Zoe has a wonderful HouseManager who is highly skilled with hair. So, she hooked me up with my Fringed Braids. They were super tight and painful on the first day ... so much that I had to take pain pills to help me.
Monday came and I broke necks honey!!! Everyone could not help themselves but were forced to just look and appreciate my Wonderful HairStyle. It is unfortunate that I had no time to take pics. So, Tuesday was chilly and I had to warm myself up.
My inspiration for the day came from my recent purchase at Zandos "H by Hudson - Black Grafton Boots" - So, I decided to just go monochrome for the day. I really loved this outfit. Moreover, my Grafton Boots because I saw them by chance at Zando's website. I desparately wanted a pair last year 2012 and could not get the size from all websites and shops in Australia. I really gaveup on this shoe after many months of searching. They are really God sent. On this day it was their second wear. They are antique, comfortable, leather everything except lacies and a perfect height.
I bought these boots for winter and Id be pleased to hear your advice on how else I could wear these Vintage inspired boots.

Casual Friday

Good evening, my Fabulous Ladies....
Hopefully you have enjoyed your weekend as much as I did or more and have rested enough to start the coming week on a high again. Tonight I just wanna share with you my last fridays outfit pictures at work as Friday is the casual day.
When the days approach friday I get excited as I know all weekend brings is "MeTime" with no compromise because I get to do what I want when I do. That is such a great feeling. Last friday was not different, as I started my day with a hype knowing Im just investing my last hours for the week and the weekend is about to start.
So, I decided to wear my cotton dark olive dress, I love this dress it fits me perfectly as it is an A-Line and it goes well with my sneakers, dr martens, boots, flat pumps, jacket, vest, shirt etc... Or should I say everything? Cause, it really is a versatile piece. I can be smart or casual, its usable in summer and winter as well. I can go on and on.
I bought this dress at Woolworths, it was on a sale rack in 2007 summer. Thank God I bought it ... They had red as well but sizes were out of stock in red, was lucky that this dark olive size16 was still waiting for me. Normally I buy size18/20 in dresses but this one fits perfectly even though its a size16, thanks to its shape.
I paired this dress with Vans HiTop sneakers that are also my favorate and the denim vest: to achieve the "Casual RockStar Chick" look. I think I nailed it. Mission was really accomplished. This outfit is simple and clean. Its just a combination of key items in each fab ladies closet. When worn together they make a statement :) What are your thoughts???? A Yay or Nay?

Mohawked RockStar

Hey Fabulous Ladies!
Firstly, I would like to apologise for this post's pictures. They are not as clear as the pictures I normally put up on this blog page. This is due to the fact that, the pictures were taken using my blackberry phone instead of Sony Camera. I love these pictures regardless, thats why I thought I should share them with all of you.
I wokeup on this day in a happy mood and that contributed to my mohawk hairstyling for the day. It was a warm and windy day that required a simple and light outfit without much effort and my today's outfit post is exactly my translation of that. So, i have nailed this outfit :)
I mostly like short dresses than long dresses. Maxi dresses are something I mostly avoid due to my short height and too much bottom thickness. This usual results in me hating everything I see when I look in the mirror. What I usually see, is too much wideness around my hips, big bum, big stomach and dwarfism. That makes me panick and change outfits one after the other until i get something that marries the inner me. Then I continue with my activities.
Am sure you all asking why the fuss, I should not care and all but I 100% care. This is because I fear being loooked at and have people judge me. I am a confident person in general and that usually helps as I tackle every issue as they come..
So, on this day the negative energy was not strong enough to discourage me not to wear my Purple Maxi. I managed to see all the good things thus you see this post right now.
When a small devilish voice whisper in my head and try to convince me that I am not beautiful. In these situations, all I do is always to immediately look at my positive message topics (hung on my headbord) with words like Beautiful, Smart, Confident, Hardworker, Active, ChangeAgent, Strong etc. Moreover, I play a dance song and just sing, dance and jump around. Negative vibes immediately vanish and my day is back to normal happy mood. This usually works and dont need more therapeutic services.
Fabulous ladies, how do you cope with negativity when it crops up trying to spoil your mood any day??? Please share your opinions Thank you..

Upgraded HairStyle and Suspenders inspired outfit

Hey, Fabulous Ladies!!!
I have finally taken out my soft dread plaits and Yay, to my new hairsyle. Actually, its not a new hairstyle rather the haircut is just made more sleeker and bald clean on the sides. I like how my scalp feels - it feels fresh and clean.
After this hair makeover, I visited my friend Thandie in Mt Ayliff to spend the weekend with her. We had a blast so much that I forgot taking pictures of all the activities we engaged in. We both remembered on my day of departure to take all the pictures posted on this post.
As for the outfit, it got inspired by the suspenders I bought at Mr Price on my way to Thandie's place. Good thing, I brought my thrifted skirt for the weekend which has a tint of mustard flowers and the rest is mix and match.
How else can I wear these suspenders? Im thinking of a more fitted skirt (pencil skirt or bodycon)and a collared shirt, stalkings and nice heeled pumps for a work outfit look.
Please ladies, help to advise how else these suspenders could be worn. Thanx in advance :)

Epauletted Orange Crop Jacket

Hi, again Fabulous Ladies!!!

Immediately after returning from Australia during summer I noticed that my bigger sister had this beautiful orange jacket which she bought from one of the West African shops in our town, Fort Beaufort. I had to make a deal with her as I could not get mine as the jackets were out of stock when we visited the same shop. It occurred that she had been eyeing a nice colourful summer dress in Woolworths but still budgeting to get it. So, I offered to buy her the dress which was much more expensive than this wonderful jacket in exchange. Nevertheless, I didnt care about the price of her dress as I was gonna get my perfect jacket and she is my sister. So, both parties were happy after the smooth exchange.

Looking at these pictures, I dont regret at all that I pursuid her and traded for something more expensive than the jacket. Getting perfectly fitting jackets is always a hustle for my body shape. I have a small top body against a much bigger bottom. The normal jackets I generally bump into, always make me look bigger and that is an illusion I dont want. If the jacket starts to cover my bum then I run for my life. Besides all that, I have big arms which also contribute to this hardship to locate a perfectly fitting jacket.

My Tips if you are expiriencing the same: I look for stretchy materials, something that hits my waist and not go beyond - if it does, it should be just a lil.  I dont mind if the jacket doesnt really close in front sometimes but it should at list be coming closer to the sternum area because you dont want to be walking around looking like an idiot if it doesnt cover half of your breast area. I also like cropped armed jackets, as a result most of the time I even go to an extent of cutting long sleeves into cropped length or send them to a tailor to cut for me. In my mind there is a stamp that says: I look better in cropped arms, lol.

This specific jacket, satisfies all my requirements and more. I like the colour against my skin and its brightness really lifts my mood.

One big problem I have about this outfit are my shoes. Im normally a flat shoe person exclusively. Ok, it used to be like that. I have just started experimenting with high heeled wedge shoes and still planning to explore high heeled pumps and all that is available in stores. I feel like, if I was wearing a classic high heeled black pump, this outfit could have been perfect. I guess, for now I have to appreciate my ensemble and continue taking baby steps into the world of Heeled Shoes.

What is your idea/opinion of a perfect shoe for this outfit? also, What are your tips to get a perfectly fitting jacket?

Until next time, my Fabulous ladies!!!

Stolen moment in All Star Shoe Sneakers

A friend took me to a Daks Store (they specialise in designer shoes and apparel - casual and smart) and they are located in Matatiele and Kokstad. Whilst walking around their shop I came across an AllStar range and instantly fell in love  with navy AllStar shoe 5 eyelets.

It just made sense for me to buy these shoes because I have been postponing buying them because I already own two hightop AllStar. Truth is that, having an AllStar shoe additional to hitops really makes a differnce.

What made me go home with this pair is that Daks prices are fairly cheap compared to other retailers. At first, I kind of questioned this discount but ended up buying because of their good reputation. Normally, a pair would cost R500 and their price was R380. So, I saved me some R120...

On this day, at work we had visitors coming from head office to inspect the institution infrastructure. Because thats one of my key performance areas: to inspect and recommend what to be done. I had to join the team of inspectors. This was just another day out of the office doing what I love most but the sun was too damn hot. Good thing that I applied my moisturiser with 30spf protection. Thought id give my face a break and that is why I have no makeup on. I nearly missed out on taking pictures of this outfit as the day was too long with many activities to cover. Am happy I have a decent and understnding colleague to take pictures of me. She really came through on this day .. Thank you Ntembie :)

Back to the AllStars sneakers: Great buy right? Comfy too! I planned wearing these shoes with my dresses and skirts. How else can I wear these sneakers?

AllStar Shoe: Daks, Denim Shirt:Mr Price, Belt bought in 2010 here at Mr Price, Skirt: was thrifted from Matatiele street pile (its one of my R2 buys), Bag: Fossil Store

No makeup but face moisturised... Lips are dry and about to crack, lol. These pics were taken after 6pm in the evening when everyone was dog tired after a long working day.

Cheers to all of you lovely Thick and Fabulous ladies.
Until next time :)
