OXBLOOD SKATER

Good afternoon my lovely fabulous ladies!!!

You all know that when it comes to going to work on Mondays I try my best to look Fab because that is way I set the tone of how my entire week will be i.e. wardrobe and other wise. Moreover, mondays are not the best days to be at work after being on a free weekend. So by dressing up I lift my mood and gear myself to work and be focused for the day.

On a trip to Aliwal North two weeks back, I happened to bump into this Oxblood Skater Dress at Jet clothing store when accompanying a colleague of mine to look for slippers after a stressful day in a Data Management Workshop. Seeing this number made me feel light and happy as it did yesterday.

Because it was not severely cold I decided to wear a light black velvet jacket paired with ankle leather boots and pair of black leather gloves. Looking at these pictures I am happy I did not go overboard with the accesories instead kept them minimal.

How else would you accesorise this oxblood number without using black? Please respond keeping in mind that it is winter - therefore accesories must be winter relevant.

Popping Knit with Parka

Hi, Ladies!

Thought I would drop by and send pictures of my Saturday outfit. The highlight is my Parka Jacket and my Pink Beanie which are major winter assets right now, mostly for weekends. They immediately give one, that casual and laid back look suitable for weekends.

I Love the pop of colour from my beanie because it really lights up my face especially because it was a bloody cold Saturday. I really needed that :)

What are your current winter must have's???

Do you normally wear Beanie Hats in Winter and Whats your take on them?

Turban and 80s inspired

Good Morning, Fab Ladies!!!

This post is about my yesterdays outfit. Wokeup not sure what to wear to work as I slept very late the previous night and was not keen in the morning to even wakeup. When fixing my hair after bathing I realised two single braids have come out in front of my hair. To be specific they came out from the fringe. That really pushed me off the wall as I lack skills to make or fix hairstyles.

As I was running out of time I immediately thought of a turban as a cover up for my problem which also made me think of this 80s Styled jacket. Because I knew I have this explosion of colour it became obvious that everything else must be a solid colour which im my case is BLACK. With accesories, I wanted to do gold but opted for white because I love taking risks (am saying this because I always wear this jacket with gold accesories and I needed to explore other colours).

What do you prefer? Gold or White accesories?

So you know, this outfit is a hit for me because I received many compliments at work and around town even from strangers. For people who know me ... I am not sure if they complimented because they are not used to me in a head gear. Regardless, I am thrilled with the outcomes of this ensemble.

What do you think of the entire outfit? Hit or a Miss and Why?

Winter Elegance

Good morning Fab Ladies...

I am supposed to be sleeping right now but im just a victim of insomnia at this very moment. Thought id utilize my time wisely by writing this post for you.

This is an outfit I wore on Wednesday this week. It was very cold and because I wore an outfit I did not like on Monday it has been my mission to look great for the rest of the week.

I know I have redeeemed myself from my bad outfit for Monday which is my previous post from this one. My fur coat has been a treasure in my closet for many years now and it aint going nowhere :)

I  am completely sold on this outfit. I love it a lot with all the mix of colours and textures. How about you? Did I miss the mark again?

OOTD: Something is missing!!!

Hey, Hey Ladies!!!

Hopefully you had a fantabulous weekend like me :)although my weekend was raining and eventually became housebound. I woke up late for work today and I kind of panicked as I always decide in the mornings what to wear to work.

The rain gave us a break but it was still chilly. All I had in my mind was to get something that does not need any ironing but warm enough to get me through the day. As I opened my closet the fisrt thing I saw was this grey spotted skirt and when I looked up where I keep my pullovers I spotted my oversized lavender pullover and immediately I was satisfied. Thought I would be able to wear a turban and black heeled boots but everything just went wrong. Time was really against me :(

If I were to wear the same outfit again, how would you advise to make it a complete outfit??? As I am looking at these pictures, I am unhappy with the outcome. I think, this outfit is lacking something to take it from this BORINGGGGGGGG state to a FABULOUS one. I think heels could have made a tremendous difference, for heaven's sake it is a Monday. What was I thinking, really???

What else do you think ladies? Please help to advise the sister in need. So that I dont make this mistake ever again.

Thanking you in advice :)

Its raining Dark Green Leather/Suede Thrift Jacket

Hello...Hello Fab Ladies!!!

The Eastern Cape Province is very cold this week and it is getting worse tomorrow as it is forecasted that here in Mt Fletcher it is gonna SNOW....Yes, SNOW :) Yippeeeee!!! Awesomeness (although I have not thought of an outfit to celebrate that). Am really looking forward to the snow :)

Todays post is about what I wore in todays freezing weather. At first, it was a struggle as I still have my summer clothes in my wardrobe but luckily in one of the hangers at the back, I spotted my DARK GREEN LEATHER JACKET which I thrifted in 2010 just before relocating to Australia and I never got a chance to wear it as I left it behind :( Believe it or not, all this jacket costed me was R45,00. It is a Huge investment I must say, especially with this colour and make :) I am really happy the jacket is not black.

Coincidentally, during preparations of my Mothers Twin sister funeral (which was about 3 weeks ago) One of my generous aunts gifted me her vintage printed skirt which came in handy to team up with my jacket today. I also teamed up both (jacket and the skirt)with a purple turtleneck and toned down gold accesories also with nuetral coloured boots. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my outfit, do you???

Ladies, how else can I wear this Wonderful Vintage Find (GREEN LEATHER JACKET)???
