Thrifted Maxi Dress

When having this R2.00 worth thrift maxi-dress with its own massive statement, there is no need for any loud accesories. Going minimal with accessories is key to achieve this effortless look.
Thank you, until next time my fab ladies :)

Levi's Hitop: A gift from a dear friend

I thank a dear friend of mine by gifting me these Levi's hitops. They are so comfortable and stylish. On this outfit post, I have dressed them down because it was a friday casual outfit at work. I sometimes dress them up and manage to be smart casual. I know there is a lot that makes this outfit outstanding because all the pieces i have ensembled are simple and outstanding on their own for example Sundglasses, denim vest and bracelets. So, one needs to be careful when adding pieces together because the aim is for them to compliment each other and not fight for their shinning throne, lol...

Thats all for now, I just wanted to show appreciation to my friend and show all of you how I am rocking my Levi's Hitops. Cheers for now my Fabulous ladies ... Until next time, byeeeeee

Summer Day

It was a beautiful morning that inspired me to look bright, fab and alive. The inspiration for my outfit was my feather earings which I bought years back and never had courage to wear. These earings are so blue and you cant even ignore their bold colour.  To be honest, I had plenty of options to choose from with regards to ensembling an outfit. Thank God I thought of my wooden sandals (I stopped wearing due to being highly overweight and I could no longer walk on them). The handkechief dress came into the mix as a perfect option compared to opting for a skirt and a shirt.

When I stepped into my office all I was thinking about was the beach as a result I could not focus fully at work, lol (true though). I must say, it feels good to be back on heels, yey :)

They are very good and really help to spice up outfits. Moreover, they really give me good posture as the thick lady. I am taking baby steps though. This was really a fab day ....

Cheers ladies, until next time -

xoxo

Clashing Prints

On this morning, I woke up very late to go to work and all I needed was a simple outfit for the day at the office. Whilst on the search, I came across with my long lost thrifted boobtube dress and I just had to build an outfit from there.

I wanted to wear a purple pump but all of sudden that vision seemed dis-tastefull especially when imagining how obvious that was. Combining the dress with my leopard wedge made more sense as clashing of prints is a DO. I was quite happy with how my outfit turned out, moreover it really saved me plenty of time for work.

My message on this post "TO YOU" would be: once in a while challenge yourself and spice up your wardrobe by creating new outfits by mismatching what already exists in your closet.... SUPRISE YOURSELF!

Keep well my lovely ladies, until next time :)

Cherry Red Dr Martens

Hi Ladies!!!

My car broke and had to go fix it in Kokstad. The weather was chilly and a bit rainy: the sister was forced to wear the Docs. Because its still summer here in South Africa, I was unsure how to wear them Docs as the weather was warm overall for the day due to volatile weather (cold and rainy in the morning and warmer in the afternoon). My choice of outfit had everything in cotton as it is a warm and cooler cloth when the weather decides to play such games. I had good company for the day and thats thanks to my friend Thandie who spent the day with mwah. Another highlight of the day was a very nice slice of cake we had in spur. mmmmmhhhhh: y'all need to go there and taste it yourselves to know what im talkin about :)

DENIM VEST & ALL STAR BOOTS

Hello...Hello Fab Ladies!!!

This outfit is one of the best i have ensembled - i adore it so much. It has charecter and its so much fun. I bought my denimm vest in year 2010 and left it behind when going to Australia. On my arrival I was very happpy to re-unite with this fabulous item. Ensembling this outfit was very easy as each of my clothes already were existing in my wardrobe and my hairstyle complimented everything, yippeeeeeeee!!!! Denim vest is so much versatile it goes with almost everything and it brings that ooommphh to the outfit. Please get your self one and start playing and take many picture and share with us.
NB: I am thick and beautiful... It is so easy for me to see that NOW whereas before all I saw in the mirror was ugliness as I detested my thick self. Now that all of that is in the past, It is nice to know BEAUTY HAS NO SIZE!!!!!
Stay positive beautiful ladies, until next time :)

LONG TIME, NO SEE...Hello WoRLd!!!!!!

Good evening to y'all.... I am excited to be back to blogging again after a long time. This is due to my relocating from Australia to South Africa. I have not been in my home country for 2yrs so you can imagine: sinking in everything whilst familiarising myself with the surroundings. I departed on the 12th of December 2012 from Aussie and arrived on the 12th December 2012 in South Africa. Am sure you all understand the time difference thing........

I had a blast during the festive season with family and friends. Right now, Ive already started with work - how boring:(  I really needed some more time before being forced to come back to work. A job is a job, I am telling you hahahahhaa ...

Neway, this posts is just meant to inform all of you that im back with an AFRICAN BANG...lol so, be ready :) In case you have forgotten my pretty face I am attaching my facial picture as a reminder :)

Happy 2013 and thank you for your support in 2012. Im looking forward posting some daily outfits to inspire all of you lovely ladies. Once more, thank you.

SITE SEEING SATURDAY IN KATOOMBA (BLUE MOUNTAINS)

 Good Afternoon, TFAF family!!!
I am back soon this time around for the new post :) I hope everyone is enjoyin their Sunday. I am itching to share pictures of how my Saturday went like yesterday. I went to Blue Mountains for site seeing, yey!!!! It is a third time visiting the area and I should say that Blue Mountains (Katoomba) has not failed to amaze me. I think what makes my trips interesting is that - in all of them I have gone with different people who always bring diversity and really spice things up in these random visits. This time around I was with my fabulous friends Gill, Evelyn, Nina and Gomez.
Our first stop was Leura, a small town near Katoomba. We drove early and we needed breakfast or should I say "Brunch" because it was a little bit past breakfast time. After finding parking, we walked down the street and SURPRISE ... it was a Saturday Market Morning :) Mmmm, Leura Market sold the following and more.
Used Books

Vintage Clothes and Frames

Homemade Candles -
WOW, their scent was wonderful: we couuld not stop sniffing them. You would also bet that they were edible - especially when u see those nuts on top.

Homemade Dips and Jams -
I could not help myself, I had to buy three bottles. It was a good deal plus I love homemade products. I took Brinjal Kasundi (spread and dip) - Lemon and Ginger Jam and Whisky Marmalade. I have already tried all this morning :)
They smell and taste just exactly as I envisaged.

After shopping from the market we made our way to a nearby Supermarket and coffee shop to gather everything we needed for our brunch. I just love how Leura town is planned. Everything is within reach as a result we ate our brunch in their  lovely BLOOME PARK meters away from the coffee shop.
Few feet away from the Coffee Shop we came across this chair in front of a small clothing store I think. What is written on it is very Hilarious I should say...

Had to sit on this chair and take a close up of what is written. Very Witty :)

Whilst my friends were making their way to a sitting area under the shade I was busy taking pictures completely forgotten about hunger and beautiful food I was about to nibble. This is where we ate our brunch.
After seating down and start devouring on that food - pictures were all forgotten ... When my senses were back for camera love, I managed to take only these left overs of what we had. Bad thing is that I could not take my coffee as it fell whilst making our way to the park (THE CUP WITH GRASS ON THE TABLE) but other options were available so - noone died due to this unfortunate event BUT I WANTED IT :(

Me, Myself and I pumped up in Blue Mountains

Lovely ladies (Nina, Me, Evelyn and Gill) and camera man Gomez

Me and Eve
 Me

 Directions to the Lookouts

Queen Elizabeth LookOut: Three Sisters behind us

My Friends blocking the view of Three Sisters, lol

Three Sisters behind me: Yey!!! They are really beautiful.

 Opposite Three Sisters

Our Stop at Scenic World: Gomez

 Eve mimicking the man statue

I needed some love from this woman - forced hug wont hurt, would it??? Lol

We took the cableway appreciating beautiful landscapes of Blue Mountain
We drove 12km's from Blue Mountains to Fairfax just to take a walk in the bushes to see the Govett's Leap Waterfalls

We came across this beautiful flower the WARATAH ... which is the family of the Protea. I could not resist taking its picture.

After walking for about 20minutes from the Fairfax sign board - we arrived at this lookout area with beautiful mountains

Continuing walking for 5 to 10 minutes we arrived at the 2nd Lookout with the WATERFALL

This was a bit disappointing I should say - the waterfall is not as big as I expected. From my previous trips to Blue mountain area I never came to Fairfax as there are many choices of what to do. So, this was the interesting part of this trip for me. I am not sure whether over the other side of the mountain the waterfall gets better. Regardless, this is what we had to see :(
This is how we all felt like after the entire day's activities but the visit to the mountains was WORTH IT!!!
My outfit for the day was:
Dress from Target $25, Pretty Polly Tights: 60 denier from Myers $18, Shoes:Vans Skater Hi-Tops from Asos: $95, Cardigan from Sussan $30, Bag: Fossil $250, Sunglasses: Raybans Aviators $280, Watch: Fossil white ceramic bracelet $220, Water bottle from UNSW post office $10, Headband from Mr Price $2, Bangle from Target $7

I HOPE YOU FELT LIKE YOU WERE PART OF THIS WONDERFUL TRIP
THANK YOU SO MUCH ... UNTIL NEXT TIME :)
