CURVES AROUND THE WORLD: WEEK4 - STRIPES

Good Morning, Ladies!!!

Hope you are all great this morning.

It is that's time of the week where I, together with my fabulous friends from around the world post our themed outfits. This weeks theme are STRIPES. I must really confess that ever since realising that this weeks theme are STRIPES I kinda panicked and from Saturday until yesterday I have been wearing items with stripes because I have been digging my closet ensembling outfits and taking pictures of all every single day as I wanted to compare all so I can choose to post the best out of all BUT unfortunately I love all of them.

I chose to post these pictures because they are just simple and have my favourite basic colours (red, black, white) compared to others. I know its not good enough justification but hey, they just made sense to post first :)

I first planned to pair this outfit with my brown biker boots also with a brown hat but yesterday morning when I was rushing to work I could not find my boots and I hastily opted for these red Converse boots because they match with everything in my closet but bad thing is that I did not achieve my boho chic look I planned to achieve out of this outfit.

Id be happy if you could tell me what this look I ended up with is. I am not sure what to say as my drawn in the head boho chic look became a failure.

I will post three more stripes outfits during the course of the week from tomorrow because they are just are fabulous as this one. Who knows you might even like the other outfits more than this one. For now, its all about my preference amongst all - your turn to judge is coming :)

Another point I wanted to convey with this outfit is that the horizontal lines theory does not scare me. I am quite pleased with this outfits outcome and don't see any extra kilos accumulated by wearing horizontal stripes. This outfit is just perfect!!!

I paired this outfit with my thrifted Fur Jacket because it is Winter here and its always chilly even though there is a shinning star outside. I chose this jacket to add some chic flare to my casual outfit as I was going to work and also warm me up as my flu is not yet gone. Have you noticed that my Stripes are a dress worn as a skirt???

What is your ideal STRIPES outfit????

Thank you for visiting my blog page and also for giving yourself time to read this post. I enjoyed taking pictures and writing this post for you and therefore would appreciate if you could leave your feedback behind because I love hearing from you. Thank you so much.

Curves Around The World: WEEK3 - Statement Necklace

Good Morning, Ladies!

This morning, I thought of what I should wear for todays post that will go with my wonderful Statement Neckpiece

Last night I read an article in a Move Magazine of a young plus sized teenager who is confident enough not to allow her weight get in the way of her fashion style. She wears anything that she wants as long as it sits well and accentuate her best body parts. They had pictures of her in the magazine and I loved one of them where she was wearing an animal jumpsuit.

So an idea came: I have been owning a jumpsuit for years and never wore it because I did not have guts or loved myself enough to be comfortable wearing it and also because I cared enough of what others would say when they see me in this piece of clothing.

Right now I have learnt to love myself and be comfortable in my own skin. So, I decided to wear my black jumpsuit and I am happy I did. I am old and wise enough to approve what I wear as long as I am comfortable and confident that I really look great when I see myself in the mirror.

This post is to inspire everyone who have issues with their body to just live out of the box a little and make fantasies and dreams come through and be aware that when we are busy obsessing about our body issues: other people are living their lives and don't give a hoot what we think of them. Really, everyone has their own fair share of issues in their lives to be consumed with others.

Lets live for ourselves and be our own priority!!! Yes, we sometimes do need others opinions but should never allow to be dependent on those views to be who we are or supposed to be.

Today, my fantasy of wearing a jumpsuit and be happy to be around people and don't care what their opinions are has come through!!! Because I love myself so much regardless of the rolls and bumps my body has. When I looked in the mirror this morning, I was happy, pleased and satisfied with me.

To self love people!!!!

KABELOs NEW BOOTCAMP REALITY SHOW 2013

Hello, ladies!

I was called and emailed on Thursday, invited to the auditions of Kabelo's Bootcamp. It is a new show that targets overweight individuals both males and females. It will air on a new DSTV channel from the 01st July 2013. For now they are busy choosing, evaluating and preparing the 10 contestants until the show begins.

On Friday. I had a meeting with my employer requesting to be released and be part of this awesome weight loss challenge program for a period of 3months together with all the other days they will need to make me go through psychometric tests with medical consultations will all professionals who are part of this program.

Unfortunately, my manager rejected this requests reminding me that I just came back from two years of study leave for my Masters and therefore should continue serving for that time instead of asking for another leave of absence on top of that one. Moreover, she just has made me act in a senior management position so my absence will not only affect my current section but will also affect the second one I am acting in.

My boss really kinda made sense but I am honestly very much hurt that today I could not go and explore this awesome opportunity as well as the next coming 3months that could have changed my life through weight loss.

I need to lose this weight this year especially my targeted 40kgs and I know if I went for auditions today they were definitely gonna take me to be part of the show. Who wouldn't take this fabulosity really???? Lol.

I have been mopping and moaning all weekend and my flu got even worse with hurt and frustration that I am not even going for the auditions as well. This bootcamp was really gonna be my platform to show the entire world that anything is possible and great things surely do happen to anyone in due time ofcoz.

All we need to have is faith. Faith that is partially present to me right now as I have been stoked and joyful ever since I was invited to participate. I was already even imagining exercising with theee KABELO (from TKZee) himself as he is the fitness ambassador (also known as Minister of Fitness).

I am so bitter because all I need is the intensity of this program and other candidates in a similar position  to support each other to lose this weight and acquire long term skills to keep the weight off through healthy eating and exercise education that they are offering.

Out of misery and anger I went back to my Zumba today just dancing my stress away.  I guess the plan from now on is just to dance my butt off and go with the same pace of the contestants from the show and just make myself feel like I am part of it with all of them.

So, to all of you ladies: I guess I need to start being serious and be a living proof this time that losing weight is possible only if the mind is in good state and also sustain consistency which needs a lot of courage to continue and move forward. I guess ill milk my courage from all of you when you are cheering me up to move forward. Please do help with that (cheering and suggestions).

So please help me to help others.

Until next time ladies: exercise, exercise and eat healthy - it is a right thing for you :)

Rocka Studded Chic

Good evening ladies...

It has been a windy and cold Saturday day and evening. I have been indoors heartbroken about an opportunity that presented itself but cant pursue because the timing is not good enough. Ill talk more about this when I get a final response of my proposal.

In the meantime, I thought id send you these pictures of myself when I was taking my car to NetStar to get a new tracker device be installed and also going for lunch with a dear friend.

The entire look is inspired by this acid wash Guess Studded Denim Vest. My red studded heels had to come to play as well... I am in love with this look. It is so Chic and Rock-Starish :)

How do you wear your denim vests and what is your take on my look???

Curves Around The World: WEEK2 - LACE

 Good morning my fabulous Ladies!

Its that time of the week again ... hope you are all excited about this weeks theme "LACE"

I took my pictures during weekend and has been a torture not to post them right away and wait for today. I did not do anything spectacular the past weekend. Just stayed home with my cousins and friends. So on Saturday, because I did not go anywhere and have planned prior to have my little photo-shoot, I kinda focussed on that for the afternoon.

Because I have very few lace items I had planned to either take pics with my red lace dress or my pink lace top. I took pictures with my red dress combined with gold accessories but did not like my pictures as they all looked boring. I guess I was unhappy because last week when we were doing the animal print theme I wore a red dress. So I decided to take pictures with my pink lace top instead.

Normally, I wear this top with high wasted skirts which are flared with heels or flats when I go to work. So, because I had plenty of time for this shoot I decided to just mix and match and go crazy with this outfit, lol and it worked for my taste ofcoz.

I'm wearing a lot of tribal prints this winter because theres plenty of them sold around either thrift or normal stores. So that's why I chose my skirt and it also has pink tint on it. So it made sense to go with it instead of other skirts in my wardrobe.

I also decided not to wear opaque tights for this outfit I just wanted to try out wearing socks with heels because ever since that trend has been around I have never given myself a chance to try it out as I used to consider it as something to be seen on magazines than on our streets.

I have a friend who has been rocking this heel-socks concept and her outfits are always smashing with them. Please check her out here to get the feel of what I am talking about. Miss B: yes I said it, that you are ofcoz my inspiration for this post!!!

Dig in folks and I hope you enjoy looking at my lace pictures because I really had a lot of fun taking them for you :)

What is your favourite lace outfit in your closet???

DR MARTENS: Military Inspired

Hello Fabulous Ladies!!!

I would love to thank you all so much for your support. You really motivate me to stay fabulous and positive at all times, you really do and thank you for that - I really appreciate!!!

Tonight, I am just sharing pictures of what I wore at work on a Friday before I changed my hairstyle. I had no chance to share these pictures before my collaborated  themed outfit series of animal print as well as my other outfit  that I will post in future which I wore on the same weekend. I

t was just a cold and windy day and I just managed to take these pictures. They are not the best quality ... however you can still at least see what I wore - Am sure you appreciate my efforts :)

When I was putting together this ensemble I was kinda thinking of Military  and that's why I am wearing my parka jacket as well and I decided to just add my Docs on  the equation just to spice up this outfit.

I bought these Dr Martens two years back but they are still not yet broken in although I bought the broken in version. (Broken In 1460). Is it because I am not frequently wearing them? What can I do to just make them soft enough?

How would you wear your Dr Martens and your parka jacket and still end up with a military inspired outfit???

Do you love my version of military? Why??

Dress: Virtu, Jacket: Mr Price, Shoes: Dr Martens USA online Store, Stalkings: Asos, Bangle: Diva

Thank you ladies!!!

Hope you are ready for my next post with my fabulous friends on LACE.

Stay tuned and start counting down....
