Curves Around the World: Girls Night Out

Hello, ladies!!!

Girls Night Out - yes, that's the theme for Curves Around the World for this week. I love Girls Night Outs because all they are filled with is happiness, updates about each others lives, naughtiness :) yes, naughtiness - flirting, dancing and glasses of whatever one feels like drinking. I always don't know what to expect when I go out with my friends cause we all have interesting characters - good thing is that when we do go out - We know how to have fun :)

I bought this swing dress from Asos last year and I have worn it twice and when I do wear it, I always wear it with stockings because it is a bit short and the weather is always a bit chilly.

Next time when I go out with my girls I am planning to wear this dress without stockings. Its spring and soon will be summer: come on, I cant be burning myself because I have to cover up.

I know, I am FAT but seriously sometimes I need a break from everyone and everything reminding me of FAT DONT's!!! Cant one just be free for a day and/or night, really? When it comes to such rules - I totally switch off and shutdown - I become totally rebellious and ensure to prove a point afterwards by challenging myself to show whoever interested that actually, it is ok not to comply.

I had a little challenge for myself today - I challenged my self to take pictures with this dress and actually write this post for everyone in the whole world to see that " it actually is ok, to be imperfect sometimes and not be too serious about things and just live and enjoy the moment: cause to be honest few people might notice you anyway - people are busy with their own issues.

You can call it justification but I call it self love cause "my fatness doesn't define me instead its part of me" and I am IN CHARGE. Enough about me, your turn :)

Whats  you ideal outfit for going out at night with the girls???

  1. Great job Thulie, I think you look amazing. You know Rules are meant to be broken and you prove people wrong because you look so beautiful! You totally don't need to cover up, if it's hot you shouldn't cover yourself up, I learned that myself because my mom would always tell me to wear a jacket because I have fat arms and it was just this year I got courage to not wear a jacket and go sleeveless and do so much that I would never because all the inspirational bloggers like yourself, that show us its ok to be you and to love yourself! But yeah the dress is so pretty and I love the collar of the dress, I love peter pan collars! :)

    1. Thanks Nina, sometimes we just need to relax and not mind such petty issues - Peter pan collars are fab and I love them too :)

  2. I don't like the rules, either, especially not because those that follow them miss out on some really great outfits. I used to cover up more and not show my arms, or my knees, and I was very worried about the rules; it's liberating to not obey the rules :) . I wonder who even made up the rules.

Anyway, before I get too sidetracked, it's a very nice outfit. Great combination of stylish and comfortable :)

    1. You really cracked me up, thanx: on a serious note though, we really need to do ourselves and not care what the society is saying cause being binded by stupid rules is really not cool - thanx :)

  3. A girls night out is the perfect place to debut a new, sexier way of wearing something that breaks the stupid rules! I think this look is actually really demure and sweet, but it has a punch of sass and sexiness with the bold blue pumps and handbag.

  6. Hi Thulisa, i found you in Beaucoo and realy like your style, i like that you take risks with your clothes and you don't let sociaty tell you what and how to wear clothes. People like you are an inspiration.
