Curves Around The World: Collars

Good Evening, guys :)

Its Curves Around The World time  and this time around we are rocking them COLLARS, lol!!!

I really wanted to wear a shirt for this challenge as I don't wear enough of them due to not being comfortable wearing them most of the time.

Would have really loved to rock that closed up Collared Shirt with a statement neckpiece look - I didn't, I guess I need to really push myself next time. I just have issues with too much serious looks and collared clothing brings that for me. I may be paranoid but I think, its so not me .... I am all about comfort first and then being stylish within my Smart Casual Style.

It may sound as if I hate collars but in actual fact I really do love them in Jackets, though and shirt dresses. For this challenge my Collar comes from the denim vest.

The weather is still hot and all I wear currently are Maxi Dresses and more maxi dresses. This time around its no different, I rocked my Maxi at work on Friday with my collared vest and sandals and I honestly think its a winning outfit :)

Do you love collars and rock them often??? In what form do you like them?

  7. I totally agree with collared shirts and feeling like they're too serious or drab. But the last few seasons, collared shirts have really evolved. I like the button-ups in one color when the collar, cuffs, and pocket are a different accent color. I love the leopard print and sheer collared shirts, too. And I'm a total sucker for peter pan collars. They're so sweet. With a statement necklace, collared shirts take on a really fun look that says anything but serious or drab. I just have to remember that it's all in the styling. Yes, a traditional collared shirt might be boring. But there are so many more options now!

  8. I love the idea of butoned up collars, but it can feel a bit stiff like you said. I love the maxi dress..suits you beautifully.

  9. Such summery outfits... It's windy, rainy and flooded here! lol

I think collars can really add something to a top or jacket, some extra detail to make it more interesting. So many different ones recently with embellished collars, collar necklaces, peter pan collars etc but yeah I agree I don't wear buttoned up ones really.

Great outfit. That summery hippy casual vibe is very you. You look great :)
