Curves Around The World: Week10 - Monochrome

 Good Morning my fashionable beauties!

Hope your day is going well so far. I am work stealing these few minutes of tea time to send this post to you. You all know it is that time of the week for our themed outfits and this weeks theme is MONOCHROME.

I had a post already written for you with pictures that I took over the weekend when I hanged out with ladies at 7 to 7 lounging bar and barbeque place in Kokstad but when I went for a tea date after work yesterday with a man who has been asking me out for a while I thought maybe I should post these pictures because I wore monochrome with a twist. I love prints and doing clash of monochrome prints has been my cup of tea this past month.

This is actually an outfit that I wore at work but with heeled boots and pantyhose. I decided to change into my converse sneakers to be comfortable and match up with this mans film making casual look.

I did not take many pictures on this date but managed to take some just to show you this man. In the evening after the date Qaqa took some pictures of me in this outfit. I wore a grey and black fur coat on top to keep me warm. It is one of my thrift finds, so one day you will see it properly.

What do you think?

Please check out my lovely and fabulous friends from around the globe how they have worn their monochrome outfits and please give us all some love and don't forget to subscribe. Thank you!!!

Curves Around the World: Week9 - Date Night

Good morning, ladies!!!

Its that time of the week for Curves Around themed outfitsthe World and the theme is Date Night! Because I have not had any night out dates recently I decided to interpret this theme my own way. You know how I like doing my own thing :) I am a real rule breaker but in this instance my outfit is at least on point coz I have spiced up this theme a lil bit to suit my interpretation :)

I used a borrowed bodycon dress from my sister which is 3 sizes smaller but has a good stretchy material - my stomach is really popping but don't care (I secretly think its not too bad, lol): I just love her dress, hahahaha. I also used a yellow scarf as a focal item, both the dress and scarf can be used for both day and night look on the same day.

So, for my day version of my outfit I wore this bodycon dress at work as Smart Casual and I paired the dress with flat pumps and trench coat. For the night outfit version, I changed the day attire to more of a serious outfit for the night. I managed to do this by just changing the accessories, by wearing a thrifted dress as a coat (which is a purchase meant for my sister but not yet landed in her hands - another borrow) heeled pumps, bold accessories and by also wearing the scarf as a head gear.

So, all in all if I was going somewhere on a date night after work - this is how I could have worn my Date Night Outfit.

I really had a difficulty taking these pictures because the weather was cold and very windy but I managed to take decent pictures even though the quality is quite poor but I love them regardless.

What is your go to date night outfit??? What do you think of my date night themed outfit?

Curves Around the World: Week8 - Celebrity Inspired

Hello ..hello, ladies!!!

At Last!!! I thought my post for this week would end up being a total failure as I had technical problems putting it up for you the entire day yesterday. Being able to put up this post for you really proves that Satan the devil has no power to ruin my happy week and rob you of my fab outfit. Yeah, I won or should I say WE WON eventually :)

This weeks theme is Celebrity Inspired and had been very confused who to use as my inspiration as I draw inspiration from many celebs either straight or plus sized. One day it clicked that I must use Adele as I really liked her recent bright outfit with matching shoes. She is usually on black outfits so this floral red outfit made a statement and ROCKED MY WORLD #BigTime :)

Stunning Adele and I. We really look great together. Look at our pose. I am not carrying any bag because I thought her black bag does nothing for her outfit. I think a contrasting coloured bad would have been better #my view. She looks very classy and chic.

Whilst fumbling on the net I came across Kim Khardashian red lace outfit and then it made sense for me to use Kim as theeee inspiration for my red lace outfit just to make things to be more practical - red lace for another red lace, right? definitely not floral: sorry Adele :)

Don't get me wrong I am still crazy about Adele's outfit because it made me wear my red lace dress and go through the trouble of taking these pictures but when I saw Kim's similar red lace dress and putting our photos next to each other REALLY just motivated me to choose Kim as theeeee inspiration for this post even though I am not wearing black heeled sandals, obviously I followed matchy matchy Adele - LOVE IT :)

I love Kim's style, wish I went for her in the first place cause she has an awesome houndstooth outfit I would like to copy. I will definitely make a post out of it one day. Anywho, I am happy with this even though I came across it accidentally. She is really an inspiration to all girls out there (thick and skinny) and surely inspire me.

It is obvious that I love both Adele and Kim's styles. Which outfit is best translated by mine? Who is your automatic celebrity inspiration?

Another successful post after technical delays, yey!!!

Please check out my fabulous friends and their Celebrity Inspired outfits and please give us all some love by following us up and leaving behind your valued feedback.

Curves Around The World: Week 7 - Denim

Good morning, gorgeous ladies!!!

As the group of Curves Around The World we are hitting week 7 this week - yey!!! Ever since we have started it has been a jolly ride working with my fab lady friends from around the globe. This experience means a lot to me as a blogger and as just being me - it is really such an honour being part of Curves Around The World group representing my country and myself as an advocate for plus size and also showcasing how size is no excuse not to look fab at all times.

I am bigger than the rest of my group mates but that doesn't intimidate me at all because I am me and I am 120% comfortable in my own skin. I like the fact that I represent a group of females who are wearing size 22 and beyond as you don't normally get many bloggers representing this group especially in South Africa. This might be because people can be very cruel and rude instead of accepting and motivating whoever comes to the picture to do the right thing for the benefit of all in our countries.

So many women are so lost as to what to wear or not as we have limited options for plus sized women as a result you will find these women wearing ill fitting clothes because of being able to access what is available on the market.

I am here standing tall just to represent all women in similar situations in the hope that they will get inspired and see that we can always look normal and beautiful with cheap playful clothes that we can buy from available retailers and also show that we can tailor clothes to our satisfaction to spice things up with our ensembles.

I am young and obviously struggling with my weight: so what??? Really, so what??? Should I be miserable at home and wear less appetising items made for plus sized grown up when ever I go out or go to work - Hell NO ... I refuse to do that. I did not gain this weight over night and therefore wont lose it over night either - besides I am losing weight for me not for the world. So, when I slip and not continue with my program as I am supposed to - that should be understandable because I AM HUMAN .... So, don't judge me!!!

This post is about this weeks fab theme: DENIM. My outfit is inspired by the Americana Trend going on here in South Africa and a post by EatStylePlay recent post. I wore this outfit on a Sunday afternoon after coming from the church meetings. I felt great and looked the part too, I know because compliments kept coming my way :)

I bought the skirt I am wearing many years ago and just decided to recycle it to a mini skirt coz it used to be a knee length. I don't often wear my Dr Martens because of the nature of my job and during weekends I always have plenty of other things to try out especially things I get from the thrift.

I have many pairs of Dr Martens that I bought from DrMartensUSA-Store and also bought one pair in Asos. Wearing these USA online Store bought Shiraz Buttero docs made my day because they are so comfy and so on trend in the world - everyone envy me especially for this oxblood colour :)

The message I am sending with this post is that. I love me very much and if its weekend I let loose, what can I do really??? I am young and my fabulosity needs to shine all the time weekend or weekday... I am happy I am not an uptight all serious person because I get to enjoy what life offers me without hesitation.

I would advise that - you must challenge yourself and wear something you would never wear in any day but secretly have been wishing you could. This exercise is so fulfilling and brings peace to yourself because you are doing this for yourself and in the process would notice that people don't give a hoot as to what you wear or don't as they are also busy carrying on with their lives.

I am a sucker for challenges but the biggest I cant beat so far is my weight loss challenge!!! I love this challenge though,,,, because it is teaching me all the things other challenges I come across don't. From it, I get to learn about self discipline, self love and worthiness, being patient & focussed, cheering my own self towards success, a believer and mostly faith... What other challenge would beat this really???

To those who are regular visitors - when you hear DENIM theme: what did you think my outfit would be??? To new visitors, do you think I have knocked out this denim themed outfit???

Thank you for reading.

A message from you would be highly appreciated and yes, please remember following me on bloglovin :)
