Curves Around The World: Signature Colour

Good Evening, guys!!!

This weeks theme is a toughie for me, SIGNATURE COLOR!!! Who has a signature color?? I dont, Lol :)

Bright colors suit my skin very well and makes it glow brighter but ... a very big BUT I prefer earthy toned colors. Not just one but all earthy colors - I love them solo or combined together. They really just do it for me :)

I wore this outfit last weekend out and about in the evening with Thandiwe my close friend - whilst getting ourselves snacks in some shop: we just randomly started taking pictures and imagine the stares we got our way. Good thing we didn't care cause we were just fooling around and having fun.

This outfit has a combination of earthy colors: olive, brown and oxblood. There is an extra light blue color that blends well with all other colors worn. I think did well combining them all!!!

Whats your signature color, if you have one???

Bridal Shower Outfit

Hey, guys!!!

Two weeks ago I attended a bridal shower of my very close friend Pamela Sontsaka and I had a blast :)

I have many pictures so I am deciding to show you what I wore first and then write another post for the actual bridal shower event. The theme was WHITE for all of us attendees (her friends from all over) and the bride wore a coral dress. I guess, we were given an opportunity to shine in our white outfits so that on the day of the wedding she can be the only BRIDE, lol.

I don't usually buy white items as a result I was cought up in my own web undecided on what to wear. I tried hitting the stores to check for white items I could wear on this day and you know what happens when you look for things last minute: you have slim chances to get what you are looking for. So, I was unfortunate :(

I decided to dig my closet for all white items I own - out of that there were 4 white dresses with different make. I chose the one I am wearing because I wanted to be comfortable and true to myself cause bridal showers are fun and mainly full of games. Heels were never gonna cut it for me, not on this day #justification, lol :)I went, the casual route ... and I was gorgeous, yes: you heard me - gorgeous hahahahaha :)

So, here is the outfit :)

Ombre Oxblooded Maxi Dress

Good Evening ... ladies!!!

I have been seeing some ombre maxi dresses in stores and on the streets of Mzansi - some are nicer than others. Whilst enjoying these scenes, I remembered that over the past few years I also invested in an ombre maxi that I buried eversince last summer - I hunted down for this dress from my closet for another wear at the office. Because its not really summery yet, I decided to pair this dress with my knit American flag crop top - to warm me up at work.

Has the ombre trend kicked-in in your country???

THRIFT HAUL: Double Breasted Knit

Good Afternoon my fabulous friends!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and hope your Monday is going well so far. Todays post is about a double breasted cardigan I thrifted on the street floors of Mt Fletcher - got it for R15 (~$2) yes, that much :)

Great thing about it is that it is as good as new - no stains or fluff balls just perfection!!! Lesson I am relaying today is that - the price tag don't matter especially when an item fits you well.

For me, nothing beats the joy I get when I score a great thrift item - I always think of how much I am saving by acquiring that fab item. What iskey for me when I thrift is to get items that are ready to be worn. I avoid items that require fixing before they can be worn. Ofcoz, that increases the value spent on that item and I don't want that and investment of more time - I know there are exceptional cases I might find myself doing exactly that. So, only then I'd bend my motto!!!

What is your thrifting strategy??
