THRIFT QUEEN

 Good Afternoon, guys!!!

I am excited about this post because it is one of those that stop people from the streets to look and admire me for my excellent sense of style. I don't call myself Thrift Queen for nothing, I am the Thrift Queen and I live by that as I strut the streets showing off my awesome vintage finds.

This is one of those posts that delayed to be posted on time. Hope you appreciate this outfit as much as I did wearing it. I like the fact that I mostly look different than anyone walking up and down the streets - thick or not!!! And my style is tasteful too because I upgrade my vintage items by adding some contemporary pieces so that I don't scare people by looking like a freak.

This dress is gonna be my go to this summer: don't be shocked when I repeatedly post pictures in it in future!

The Thrift Queen lives on :)

Curves Around the World: Sweatpants

Hey, guys!!!

You know what it is - its Curves Around the World Weekly Themed post and this weeks theme is SWEATPANTS!!!

I must admit that I suggested this weeks theme because I wanted us to explore how to wear sweatpants out side the gym and still feel fashionable and stylish for a casual look on a Saturday or anyday really. My interest came from seeing some bloggers and fashionistas rocking this trend from all over the globe with heels, pumps or sneakers. I wanted justified motivation to try them out because I barely wear pants and this year has been a trial but a good one!!!

This is my 3rd attempt of SWEATPANTS - here and here are my successful attempts: check them out, am sure you will love them :)

You will notice that this posts pictures are not recent because I no longer have my wonderful red braids but these are pictures that never made it to the blog but were taken 2 weeks ago and have come to rescue me now as I am currently busy to take new ones with my current hairstyle. Sorry about that :)

I wore this outfit on a Saturday and love it because its a comfortable outfit with sneakers and all. I love comfortable clothes and these kind of outfits are the best ones to run some errands in. I guess, this is another reason why I wanted to trial this theme!!!

These pictures are a testimony for my love of taking pictures anytime and anywhere. Here, was already a very late afternoon but I insisted on taking these pictures outside when the sun was already gone. I think in the presence of the sun these could have been much better but this is, what it is :)

How do you feel about styling up SWEATPANTS???

Minnetonka Double Fringed Boots

 Good Evening, guys!!!

Just before changing my hair into my current fringed bob - I took many pictures that ill continue sharing here for you from my last red braids. I hope you wont mind seeing different styles posted one after the other. Its towards festive holidays and there is plenty to do at work and that keeps me from having regular posts for you but all of that will soon be sorted.

I bought a pair of Minnetonka Double Fringed boots during winter and I am surprised to realise they never made it to here. This is my first post wearing them. Our current weather is really weird and boring - I hate cold and rain and that's what has been happening over here even though its officially SUMMER. So, I wore this pair on a casual Friday at work as the weather was colder in the morning. I wanted to achieve that boho chic look I guess, cause I was wearing on of my tan fossils sling bags :)

Anywho, I had fun wearing them for the 4th time even when the sun shined brighter in the afternoon. Buying these shoes on line is such a pain because you get different reviews about them from one customer to the other. It is worse for me as I have funny issues with sizing. I am a size 5 especially for closed shoes and that changes with open shoes like sandals as I go for UK 5.5 or 6 depending on the fit and availability of the other. So, its stressful buying shoes in stores and much of a pain on line cause you are just risking it: hoping for the best as reviews from other confuse me enormously.

Short story is that - I am happy my heart told me to chose UK5 and its perfect on my perfect short foot, lol   :) These boots are comfy and stylish - it serve perfect versatility on any woman's closet. love them too much :)

If you are not currently owning a pair of Minnetonka - you are really missing out on great walking shoes to spice up your wardrobe. I urge you to reconsider, you wont regret :)

Yeah, its Minnetonka Baby *much love*
