Upgraded HairStyle and Suspenders inspired outfit

Hey, Fabulous Ladies!!!
I have finally taken out my soft dread plaits and Yay, to my new hairsyle. Actually, its not a new hairstyle rather the haircut is just made more sleeker and bald clean on the sides. I like how my scalp feels - it feels fresh and clean.
After this hair makeover, I visited my friend Thandie in Mt Ayliff to spend the weekend with her. We had a blast so much that I forgot taking pictures of all the activities we engaged in. We both remembered on my day of departure to take all the pictures posted on this post.
As for the outfit, it got inspired by the suspenders I bought at Mr Price on my way to Thandie's place. Good thing, I brought my thrifted skirt for the weekend which has a tint of mustard flowers and the rest is mix and match.
How else can I wear these suspenders? Im thinking of a more fitted skirt (pencil skirt or bodycon)and a collared shirt, stalkings and nice heeled pumps for a work outfit look.
Please ladies, help to advise how else these suspenders could be worn. Thanx in advance :)

Epauletted Orange Crop Jacket

Hi, again Fabulous Ladies!!!

Immediately after returning from Australia during summer I noticed that my bigger sister had this beautiful orange jacket which she bought from one of the West African shops in our town, Fort Beaufort. I had to make a deal with her as I could not get mine as the jackets were out of stock when we visited the same shop. It occurred that she had been eyeing a nice colourful summer dress in Woolworths but still budgeting to get it. So, I offered to buy her the dress which was much more expensive than this wonderful jacket in exchange. Nevertheless, I didnt care about the price of her dress as I was gonna get my perfect jacket and she is my sister. So, both parties were happy after the smooth exchange.

Looking at these pictures, I dont regret at all that I pursuid her and traded for something more expensive than the jacket. Getting perfectly fitting jackets is always a hustle for my body shape. I have a small top body against a much bigger bottom. The normal jackets I generally bump into, always make me look bigger and that is an illusion I dont want. If the jacket starts to cover my bum then I run for my life. Besides all that, I have big arms which also contribute to this hardship to locate a perfectly fitting jacket.

My Tips if you are expiriencing the same: I look for stretchy materials, something that hits my waist and not go beyond - if it does, it should be just a lil.  I dont mind if the jacket doesnt really close in front sometimes but it should at list be coming closer to the sternum area because you dont want to be walking around looking like an idiot if it doesnt cover half of your breast area. I also like cropped armed jackets, as a result most of the time I even go to an extent of cutting long sleeves into cropped length or send them to a tailor to cut for me. In my mind there is a stamp that says: I look better in cropped arms, lol.

This specific jacket, satisfies all my requirements and more. I like the colour against my skin and its brightness really lifts my mood.

One big problem I have about this outfit are my shoes. Im normally a flat shoe person exclusively. Ok, it used to be like that. I have just started experimenting with high heeled wedge shoes and still planning to explore high heeled pumps and all that is available in stores. I feel like, if I was wearing a classic high heeled black pump, this outfit could have been perfect. I guess, for now I have to appreciate my ensemble and continue taking baby steps into the world of Heeled Shoes.

What is your idea/opinion of a perfect shoe for this outfit? also, What are your tips to get a perfectly fitting jacket?

Until next time, my Fabulous ladies!!!

Stolen moment in All Star Shoe Sneakers

A friend took me to a Daks Store (they specialise in designer shoes and apparel - casual and smart) and they are located in Matatiele and Kokstad. Whilst walking around their shop I came across an AllStar range and instantly fell in love  with navy AllStar shoe 5 eyelets.

It just made sense for me to buy these shoes because I have been postponing buying them because I already own two hightop AllStar. Truth is that, having an AllStar shoe additional to hitops really makes a differnce.

What made me go home with this pair is that Daks prices are fairly cheap compared to other retailers. At first, I kind of questioned this discount but ended up buying because of their good reputation. Normally, a pair would cost R500 and their price was R380. So, I saved me some R120...

On this day, at work we had visitors coming from head office to inspect the institution infrastructure. Because thats one of my key performance areas: to inspect and recommend what to be done. I had to join the team of inspectors. This was just another day out of the office doing what I love most but the sun was too damn hot. Good thing that I applied my moisturiser with 30spf protection. Thought id give my face a break and that is why I have no makeup on. I nearly missed out on taking pictures of this outfit as the day was too long with many activities to cover. Am happy I have a decent and understnding colleague to take pictures of me. She really came through on this day .. Thank you Ntembie :)

Back to the AllStars sneakers: Great buy right? Comfy too! I planned wearing these shoes with my dresses and skirts. How else can I wear these sneakers?

AllStar Shoe: Daks, Denim Shirt:Mr Price, Belt bought in 2010 here at Mr Price, Skirt: was thrifted from Matatiele street pile (its one of my R2 buys), Bag: Fossil Store

No makeup but face moisturised... Lips are dry and about to crack, lol. These pics were taken after 6pm in the evening when everyone was dog tired after a long working day.

Cheers to all of you lovely Thick and Fabulous ladies.
Until next time :)
