Hello 2016!!!

Hi everyone...

It feels very weird to actually be writing this post as I have written so many in my mind since the last time I posted here. It has been very difficult to sit down and do an actual post due to many things (lack of a photographer but mostly lack of motivation) but I am very happy to be writing one tonight.

I really have missed doing this and have missed all of you and your strong support on what I do. Thank you so much for everything guys, mostly for allowing me to be me. All is deeply appreciated!!!

Quick Update: I have a photographer for daily outfits posts (my colleague - Mandisa Maforevane). She is a blessing in my life and she came at the right time. This is a major achievement for me and I celebrate everyday for this. You all know how much I have been struggling on this regard eversince my relocation to Johannesburg. All of that resulted in me not posting at all on this page. I know, I could have continued to post about beauty products I use or items I have copped (sneakers mostly) --- or even blog about my weightloss journey.

I don't know - I guess I was just demotivated. Last time I posted something here I felt like I was cheating you guys as I blogged about #AdidasSuperstarSneakers without full body pictures of me wearing them. I tried but became unhappy afterwards. Anyway, I am back now and I am intending to ensure that I give you all nice and juicy posts.

I have taken many pictures in the past month and I will try as much as I can to write blog posts about all those outfits - am sure you have seen most of them as I have been keeping myself busy on other social media mediums like Instagram, Facebook and twitter... I just feel a need to still write about them and be permanently available here.

I have many collaborations done and others coming up with designers, plus-size bloggers and plus-size clothing stores etc.... I cant wait to share info about all these projects with you but you will have to wait a lil bit :) sorry!

For tonight: ill share just one picture to remind you of how I look like, lol mostly its a reminder of how my style taste is like. I am not gonna talk about what I am wearing now as another post with enough supporting pictures of this outfit will be posted shortly. There is no particular reason why I chose this picture out of all pictures I have taken so far except that, it has captured perfectly what I am all about on the style front - "Vintage Inspired Style and me being a Sneaker-Head Queen".

If you have any specific interest that you would like me to come on my posts please give suggestions on the comment box of this post - ill try my best to ensure all get covered depending on feasibility of the request of-course.

Good Night .... Rather, Good Morning y'all :)

Love you lots,

Thulie

Curves Around the World: Feminine Meets Masculine

 Good Morning, Friends!!!

It's a Sunday Morning and have not been able to sleep. I hope I do get an opportunity to thoroughly rest during the day. I would not want to start a week with a tired body. A week can be very long. Would never survive until next Friday.
Insomnia is a bitch. Excuse my language :)

It is Curves Around the World post - the theme this week is Feminine meets Masculine. This means I need to create one outfit with elements from both feminine and masculine world. To simplify this more for you: it means - I am suppose to wear what I usually wear as a lady but add a masculine piece in the mix as part of the outfit. It doesn't matter what I decide to throw in: it could be a shirt, blazer, boots etc from the men's world.

So, my translation for this theme is: I decided to choose one piece, a classic plaid vintage dress as a focus. Moreover, I created two outfits to show you how I'd usually wear this dress as a lady that I am, lol. I dressed it up with heels, belted and buttoned it up. It really is a beautiful outfit.

For what was required for this challenge: I added a stoned wash denim vest on top of this dress, chain neckpiece, replaced heels with dr martens boots and added a hat to spice things up. As you can see: I did not only wear one masculine piece. I decided to wear more pieces to take this outfit to the streets. This ensemble has 80's Rock flair, Grunge finesse and every tinge of style men are associated with.

I look like an artist y'all - attending a music festival - lol. I look amazing if I were to compliment myself :) Agree, agree? Am sure you do :)

Looking at both outfits - id consider choosing the second one: because it is more comfortable, accessible and more of my daily style. Comfort comes first but I ensure I clean up nicely and remain stylish overall.

Which one is your favourite? How would you have dressed up or down this amazing vintage dress with man pieces added? Did I do justice transforming this item to a different style from the classic look with heels? Please respond to these questions, I like hearing from you. Your feedback is highly valued. I also need to learn from you.

 Lets share ideas. Thanks :)

Curves Around The World: Boho Chic

Hey, guys!!!

I am so embarrassed for my lack of posting especially for Curves Around The World themed outfits.
Life just happened, I am sorry!

Tonight I am trying to catch up on themes I have missed so this one is Boho Chic.
Looking at my pictures I think I did capture this style - a headband would have spiced this outfit to perfection I think.

I hope I look hippie enough for you :)

Curves Around the World: Week21 - Pink

Good Morning, Fabulous Friends!!!!

Its ROUND3 of Curves Around The World themed outfits. This Weeks theme is Pink. One of our members Nina came up with this theme because it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I am glad she suggested  because we have to honour and support this awareness campaign. So, this post is dedicate to all those who did not make it, the survivors, fighters and also serves as an education to those who do not know their status to encourage asap testing.

I have seen plenty of bloggers educating their readers about Breast Cancer in total and I am happy about this because the more we talk about Breast Cancer many lives will be saved and empowered.

I wore this outfit at work this Monday. It was very hot and my dress is strappy and sleeveless - therefore, I had to cover up to protect my skin from the sun and hide my thick arms as sometimes I don't feel comfortable showing them.

Have you done your part to contribute towards Breast Cancer Awareness??? If you have not, please do something cause its the right thing to do :)
